Privacy Policy
DoorWorth is a product of JMIE Investments LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the DoorWorth mobile application (the “App”) collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
- Property & financial information you enter — details about your rental properties, tenants, income, and expenses.
- Bank transaction data (via Plaid) — if you choose to connect a bank account, we use Plaid Inc. to securely retrieve your transaction history so you can review and categorize it in the App. We never see or store your bank login credentials — those are entered directly with Plaid.
- We do not collect or store Social Security Numbers. If you use tenant screening, the applicant enters their SSN directly with the credit bureau; it never passes through or is stored by DoorWorth.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the App’s features: tracking your properties’ finances, importing and categorizing transactions, generating reports, and providing in-app assistance. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for their own purposes. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the App (such as Google Firebase for secure hosting and Plaid for bank connectivity), only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
4. Plaid
When you connect a bank account, you do so through Plaid Inc. Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. We receive only the transaction data needed to power the App’s bookkeeping features; bank access tokens are stored on secure servers and are never accessible from the App.
5. Data Security
We protect your information using industry-standard measures: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), strict per-user access controls, and storage of sensitive credentials in a dedicated secrets manager. Bank access tokens are stored server-side only, and our security rules deny client applications any access to them.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing jmieinvestments@outlook.com; we will delete your personal and financial data within 30 days of a verified request, except where retention is required by law. Connected bank access tokens are removed when you disconnect a bank or delete your account. We review this policy periodically.
7. Your Choices & Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your information, and disconnect any linked bank, at any time from within the App or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
8. Consent
By creating an account and using the App — and, where applicable, by completing Plaid’s bank-connection consent flow — you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your information as described in this Policy.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App.
